The MFGC has once again fulfilled a dream by introducing into Malta another new cat breed. After the Exotic and Sphynx our newest breed is the Maine Coon. As many people have realized and commented during our cat shows Malta is lacking in diversity so every year we are trying our best, but one must appreciate the difficulty of importing pets into Malta due to our geographic location and laws of importation. Our three Maine Coons are Suryamainecoon Olga, Suryamainecoon Otty and PL* Carrera Tilli. Olga and Otty are from Italy from the well renowned cattery Suryamainecoon Cattery and Carrera Tilli is coming from Poland.

Hopefully we will be successfully breeding them at the end of the year 2009, they are from two completely different bloodlines making it possible for us to have the pleasure of new kittens.

Their colours are: Carrera Tilli is Tortie Tabby Tigre and White, Olga is red silver tabby and machio, Otty is Red Tabby, these making a beautiful combination. I have compelled some basic information about the breed plus some history. Of course the website will be updated regularly with new information on our two because of course the breed is even new to me.
